An airport lounge is a restricted-access area inside an airport where eligible travellers can wait, work, eat or rest before a flight. Lounges may be operated by an airline, an alliance, an airport or an independent company, and entry can depend on ticket class, frequent-flyer status, membership, an eligible payment card or a paid pass.

The FlyAndCry definition
A quieter room where the delay has upholstery.
The airport lounge separates passengers who paid to be disappointed in public from passengers who paid to be disappointed near a bowl of decorative fruit. Behind the frosted glass, the departure board remains just as red, but the chairs know your surname.
What is usually inside?
Facilities vary widely. A lounge may provide seating, Wi-Fi, power outlets, food, drinks, flight information, work areas or showers. Some offer only a calmer place to sit; others provide dining and dedicated assistance. Access to one lounge does not imply access to every lounge in the terminal.
Who can enter an airport lounge?
Common access methods include an eligible premium-cabin ticket, qualifying airline status, a lounge membership, a participating credit-card benefit or a one-time pass. The exact rules can depend on the operating airline, route, same-day boarding pass, guest policy, departure time and capacity. Check the lounge operator’s current entry conditions before relying on access.
At FlyAndCry
FlyAndCry welcomes eligible passengers to the Executive Containment Area:
- the entrance is hidden behind the desk that denies knowing where it is;
- one stale cracker is complimentary after a refundable plate deposit;
- power outlets are provided for visual reassurance;
- flight announcements are removed to preserve the surprise.
Access is included with Business Despair, Chairman’s Misery status and selected cards whose annual fee exceeds the value of the furniture. Capacity restrictions apply whenever you arrive.
