An aircraft galley is the cabin area used to store, refrigerate, heat and dispense food and beverages. It contains secured compartments and service equipment arranged for cabin crew rather than functioning as a passenger kitchen.

The FlyAndCry definition
A cupboard where disappointment is heated to service temperature.
The galley is the square metre of aircraft where coffee, paperwork and twelve incompatible trolley latches compete for sovereignty. Passengers see a curtain. Behind it, a biscuit is being promoted to a meal.
What is inside an aircraft galley?
Equipment varies with aircraft and service. A galley can include carts, storage units, ovens, beverage makers, water equipment, chillers, waste compartments and work lights. Everything must fit the certified aircraft installation and be secured according to operating procedures.
Where are galleys located?
Passenger aircraft commonly have galleys near cabin doors at the front or rear, while larger aircraft may have several service areas. Their position supports loading supplies and delivering service through the cabin. The galley is also a crew work area, so passengers should avoid gathering there and follow crew instructions.
At FlyAndCry
The FlyAndCry galley operates under our Ambient Catering Standard:
- “freshly prepared” means the wrapper was opened today;
- the oven heats prices more reliably than food;
- coffee is diluted until it qualifies as cabin humidity;
- the service trolley blocks only the aisle you currently need.
Meal availability is determined by a sophisticated inventory system called looking behind the second cart. Passengers asking what remains will be offered the concept of chicken.
