Subject to availability means an advertised seat, fare, upgrade, reward or service is offered only while the relevant inventory remains available under its conditions. Seeing an offer does not guarantee that it will exist for your flight, date, booking class or moment of purchase.

The FlyAndCry definition
Available in the sentence. Missing in the building.
The phrase lets a benefit appear in large type while its physical form lives somewhere behind inventory control. Availability may depend on date, route, booking class, capacity, status and whether the customer has already emotionally committed to the purchase.
What can be limited?
Airlines can limit the number of seats sold in particular booking classes or offered for rewards. A flight may still have empty seats while the cheapest fare or reward category has no inventory. “There is a seat” and “that offer is available” are therefore separate financial realities.
Read the conditions before relying on an upgrade, voucher or promotional fare. If the promise concerns future travel, availability can become the polite bouncer standing between compensation and use.
Where does availability go?
It was present during the advertisement and died peacefully during the click. One moment the upgrade is smiling in a banner; the next, the booking engine lowers its voice and asks whether you would consider something at four times the price.
The promised inventory is not exactly gone. It has entered a better place: another date, another route, another fare class and an account belonging to somebody with more status. Customer service can still see its spirit but cannot bring it back.
The afterlife of a promise
A voucher begins life as compensation. It then passes through expiry dates, excluded flights and booking windows until only the code remains. The code is entered ceremonially, rejected immediately and preserved in your inbox as a digital urn.
Promotional seats follow a similar path. Their photograph stays online long after the inventory is buried, proving that marketing, unlike availability, has no natural end.
At FlyAndCry
Everything desirable is subject to availability. Unavailability is guaranteed. Window views depend on the Window Seat Subscription. Refunds depend on the availability of money. Assistance depends on the availability of an employee unfamiliar with the Passenger Self-Reliance Report.
Our cheapest fare class contains one seat released every leap year at 03:12. The advertisement remains active because hope has unlimited inventory.
